Spring in the Big Easy

Last Thursday I left for my photo club's convention in New Orleans, Dave and I spent four beautiful days in the big easy. On Friday and Saturday I did some walking around with friends Tommy, Claudia and Debbie taking photos of the city. One of my favorite things to photograph there are the beautiful flowers people grow and display at their places of business or in the courtyards and flower boxes at their homes. Here is a sampling of some of these flowers. My favorites are the wisteria I found on Royal Street just north of Jackson Square in the heart of the French Quarter. Down lovely streets lined with quaint boutique hotels, apartments with balconies decorated with flower baskets and classic French Quarter houses located behind the shops and having courtyards leading to street entrances between Antique shops, Jewelry Stores and Art Galleries the lovely colors of spring are found in abundance. Enjoy!
