Sleeping....

Eli and Alex sleeping peacefully, I had to whip out the big camera for these, I love the little point and shoot for most times, but in the house, with the babies, I like more control over the images, more light, less shadow (which I can get with my SB800 and Fong Dome). Enjoy!

This morning...

These two boys were cooing and smiling up a storm when they got to our house this morning! They ate their morning bottles, had a little sponge bath and are napping peacefully already! Sleeping photos to come in a few.... ~K

Naptime Layout

Layout Journaling: 03-18-08

naptime for the boys is always relaxing in their comfy beds. after their lunch and a good twenty minutes in their papasans or car seats (to avoid the nasty reflux) the boys have their tummy time nap while i read in the rocking chair in their bedroom. they sleep so soundly after their naptime bottles. its such a treat to spend this time with the boys while mom and dad are off at work. how very lucky i am and how blessed we are to have these two little angels on earth. after their naps they are always in such a cheerful mood and just this past week they began cooing and talking to all of us. its such a treat to hear their tiny voices as they discover making sounds on their very own. ~Lolli

Library and Bunnies

On the Thursday before Easter Kali attened storytime at the library and there were bunnies for all the children to hold and pet afterward. Kali adores the library storytime coordinator Mrs. Sarah, she really enjoyed her time with her new fluffy and furry friends.

Yesterday with the boys...

We had a wonderful day, the boys were so very well behaved, ate like little men and finished all of their bottles. They weren't fussy at all, I have a feeling the after effects of baby shots are history... Thank Goodness! After their noontime nap they played on the big blanket on the carpeting, stretching and exercising for a good long time, while listening to the soundtrack music from Disney's 101 Dalmations that Pop gave them for Easter. (The movie goes into their collection for when they're old enough to watch TV.) These lil guys are just toooooooo sweet!~

Easter Morning Happiness

Our girl Kali came over to spend the night after Easter Vigil Mass and dining out at Chili's with the entire family. She was amazed when she woke up and discovered eggs leading down the hall to a gift and treat filled basket! The Easter Bunny knew exactly where she was sleeping last night and brought her a wonderul basket! Have a very blessed, safe and happy Easter day!

Wednesday, March 19, 2008

On Tuesday when Kali came with me to spend the day with Alex and Eli, I took some sweet photos of the trio of cousins. The bottom photo is something we're going to do with the boys at each monthly birthday. A photo of the boys with their bears from Ms. Jaci. (Thanks for the bears with the custom name tags!)
Wednesday was eventful for the twins, they had their two month well baby check up with the pediatrician and their first round of baby immunizations. They were such troopers and only cried for a few moments. The Doctor said that they are the picture of health and said how lucky Claire and Davey are to have such good and healthy boys. Alex weighed in at 11 lbs 11 oz. and 56 cm in lenght and Elijah was 11 lbs 10.5 oz. and 57 cm in length.

Kali, Krista and Zach
Krista's birthday supper at Texas Roadhouse.

Claire celebrates her 26th Birthday this week!

Kali, Eli, and Alex spent the night at our house on Saturday night. They were all such sweeties. Here are a few photos of the boys and one of Kali with our sweet weimeraner River. I'll have more photos to post tomorrow after spending my first day with the boys at their house, Claire goes back to work and I'm the lucky one who gets to spend the day with the little guys for the next six weeks or so, then I'll have them on Tuesday and Thursdays probably til the little guys start preschool! Woohooo!!
I won't be uploading images during the day, since there's no internet connection at their place. Maybe someone should look into that ;-) so we can have daily updates while mom's working and I'm sure Honey would just love that too!

REVEAL - Who's Who Part Deaux

This photo comparison stumped everyone but Kali and Davey (the twin's dad)... Elijah is in the top photo and Alex is in the bottom photo!

Sweet Boys

I took these pics of the boys a few days ago, for once they were both looking at the camera when I shot them. They're growing up and growing much more aware of the people and things around them, they're so observant and adorable!

Everything in this layout is by Lorie Davison, she sells at Scrapbook Graphics and is simply fabulous! Thanks to Nevache/Gerarda for pointing her out in her documenting of one of her layouts... *(I was studying her amazing craftiness and superb choice of elements in her gallery today! I often go there for inspiration, which I definately found in abundance, the woman is simply amazing!)

All about Kali

These two layouts feature my favorite three year old! Kali's such a joy and a sweetheart, she loves life and is exuberant about sharing fun times with family and friends. Last month she and Pop had a special date one night at a local hibachi grill... Lolli, Eri and Lexi went along with them but it was 'her date' with Pop that was too cute. She visited Subaki with her Mom a few months ago and kept telling him about this place where the cook entertained while preparing the meal (as though Pop would never have gone there before ;) and one night we surprised her by taking her there for an evening meal. She was so excited and we all had a wonderful time. The second layout features Kali in the parish library, one of her favorite outings. She really loves the fairy wings, and now is asking for a pair to wear next time she goes there!

Both of these were created using a collaboration kit by Shabby Miss Jenn and Dani Mogstad called Vintage Garden Fairies.

Loads of Pics of the Boys

Just a collage of new photos ... Eli and Alex are so expressive, these photos were taken on March 11, 2008. Enjoy! ~Katy

2 Doting Aunts

Erica and Alexa love going over to care for Eli and Alex, they're such good babies, it sure makes it fun and enjoyable! It gives Claire a bit of time for errands and a little exercise time in the park too. Dinner afterward with Lolli and Pop at our favorite Pizza Place was in order. We all had a lovely evening!

Reading is FUN-damental

The library is one of Kali's all time favorite places to go! She loves books, going to story hour, puzzles and learning. On this day we went with Mimi, Riley and Kayla for our own story hour since it was Tuesday and we didn't want to wait until Thursday for the official library story hour! Mimi read stories to them while I took a few photos of them enjoying all the library has to offer.

I created this layout with Shabby Miss Jenn's new collaboration kit designed with the fabulous Dani Mogstad. You can see "Vintage Garden Fairies" here.

Alert and Curious

Here's another couple of photos of the boys on a new layout, wide awake and so alert. They grow and change so quickly its amazing. Just look at those big eyes, so curious and sweet! Little Overnight Guests

We arrived home from our vacation at 4:30 am on Saturday and got a few good hours of sleep before family and friends came over for a huge pig roast outside. Alex and Eli came over with Mom and Dad and I was so excited that they were going to spend the night, Kali stayed overnight too! I took these photos of the boys shortly after they arrived. They've filled out and have loads of rolls on their little legs. They slept very well and ate and went right back to sleep for their night feedings. Frame by Coralee Evans.

She Loves Him So

Kali saw the layout I created with photos of her holding Alex and she wanted one with Eli too, cuz she says she loves him so much too!~ I used Shabby Miss Jenn's lovely French Attic Kit for this layout.

March 6, 2008

We spent the morning riding in the boat hunting for a cool place to snorkel and explore. We rode up to Twin Cay but the water was too rough out in the open water. We boated north toward Overyonder Cay and then spent the day shelling and snorkeling on the North Beach of Sampson Cay. After spending several hours there we took the Serenity Boston Whaler up to the Marina at Sampson Cay and got fuel for the boat and bought water and refreshments. After that we travelled north through the pass down through several little islands South to Staniel Cay.

After we arrived back at Staniel Cay around 3PM and Dave tied the boat up in front of Thunderball Grotto and put his snorkel gear on and hopped into the water. He went exploring around the cave and the water around Thunderball. He saw lots of little fish and said the inside of the grotto is amazing and beautiful. While waiting in the boat I fed bread and pringles to the little fish. There were several different colorful fish which came up to feed.

Island Adventures Tuesday, March 4, 2008

Yesterday (03-04-08) Dave and I took the little Serenity boat out island hopping and beaching and snorkeling. we also fed the swimming pigs out on the Big Major island to the north of Staniel Cay. We checked out Fowl Cay and went to Sampson Cay to buy fresh fruit and check out the cabins there for a possible future trip. It looks like a nice place, we'll have to see if little boats would be available to guests and determine if its the right location for a family vacation.
The highlight of the day was out trip to Sandy Cay. Its the photo with the little Serenity boat pictured above. There was a sand bar that went out from the little uninhabited island far out into the unbelievably beautiful aqua water. Dave snorkeled around the little island behind the boat and out to the island to the right. He found a few conch but they were pretty small so we released them after I shot a few photos of them on the sand. The weather and wind were just absolutely perfect for the exploring we did today. Last night we ate at Club Thunderball, the meal was delicious and the hospitality and service superb. I'll post more photos tomorrow from our day out today! Have a great day!
