Our little spring time supper was one of my favorite kinds of meals, and so yummy. Nothing fancy, but so good and fresh! I walked to the garden tonight to pick a few ears of corn and found that we're going to be canning SOON! The corn silk is turning brown and the kernels are getting full of sweet milk! So very sweet and scrumptious. With our boiled corn we also had a little steamed zucchini and yellow squash with sweet orange bell pepper and a little cheese sprinkled on top. We also had buttery sweet corn bread, green salad, steamed asparagus and a lil fresh fruit salad for dessert. A pitcher of fresh squeezed lemonade accompanied our meal. Dave really loved it, especially the fruit salad and squash dish!
