Decorations for the Ice Cream Party

Krista and I hunted the stores both online and local and found adorable ice cream party accessories. We also created a few decorations using them. The flowers were designed by Dallas Florist in Broussard, Louisiana. Thanks Buddy, they came out adorable!

Special thanks to my sister Robin for taking lots of photos of the party going on while I was busy helping Krista keep things rolling.

I ordered the little sprinkle cups from Target online and the ice cream cone pinata from Oriental Trading. The little ice cream cone shaped cups were from WrapWithUs.com.

  

This adorable ice cream cone cookie jar was one of five that we got at Burke’s Outlet on a clearance rack. We also got the precious sunday shaped cone cups and a few other ice cream cone related pieces at the same time. These came in handy for holding chips to go with our party hot dog supper!

The little chair and table sets are from Ikea and borrowed from a friend. Below is the gift table, Kali sure did get lots of great gifts!

The Ice cream stand and matching bars were perfect for holding our ice cream goodies, including sprinkles, syrups and in the container on the left, delicious gummie bears, M&Ms, and crushed Oreo cookies and Butterfinger candy bars. They were a big hit!

Jacob was ready to help serve the delicious ice cream treats! here he is behind the ice cream stand with the scoop in hand!

Ice Cream Party Favors

These are the ice cream party favors we created for the treat bags for Kali’s birthday. All of the children loved them. Most of them were ice cream related and a few of them were used for party games.

Cotton candy cone was one of my favorites and the kiddos liked them a lot too! I used Shabby Miss Jenn Designs kit “Ice Cream Party” to create all of them.

A Few Days with the Boys

While the babysitter took a much needed vacation with her husband the twins spent some time with Krista and me. On Monday they went to the zoo with Anna Claire, Aunt Kris and Natalie. After the zoo they went to Kali’s classroom to celebrate her birthday with ice cream and juice. They loved sitting at the school desks with the big kids! Tuesday Kris and I took them on a little shopping trip to town and to Canes for lunch afterward. Here are a few photos from their adventures.

Riley’s Birthday Party – Zoo Zoom!

Our girl Kali and Riley were born on the same day… six years ago on May 9th.

Kali, Alex and Eli went to Riley’s birthday party extravaganza this past Saturday and boy did they have a great time! Here are a few highlights from the day!

Alex and Eli LOVED the animals! They pet them and hugged them, we even saw Eli give the tortoise a little peck on its shell!   Alex loved all the animals too!

    Kali and Eli playing with the tortoise and the bunny!    A sweet smile from Elijah James, he was having a great time! Riley showed no fear in holding the snake, looks like the snake liked him too! Way to go Riley! 

Kali thought the snake tickled and giggled and giggled! Then the birthday girl had a turn holding it.

  Kali got a kick out of watching Riley with the snake too!

Happy, Happy birthday Riley! You are just too cute with that little buddy of yours!
