A Stroll Through our Yard

Green is the dominant color you'll see when taking a walk through our lawn. The trees create a cool umbrella of cover over most of the back yard, around the pond and through to the garden. The last photo is of our fig trees and a pecan tree in the orchard. They're growing fast and in a few months we'll have bucket loads of fresh juicy ripe figs. The second to last photo is of our garden, you can see a few tomato plants and pepper plants in the garden in front and in the back rows and rows of sweet corn. I can't wait til its ready for canning! Hopefully it will all be harvested before our beach vacation at the end of June til mid July. The fourth photo is of the pasture between our garden and the pond. There are about a dozen pecan trees out in the back there that shade most of the back yard starting around 5 PM. Its the perfect place to go for a stroll in the evening.
