27 Years and still having a wonderful time together! I never doubted it would be the best thing I ever did when I said "I Do". He arranged the two dozen roses himself in my favorite vase. :)

Fall Season

This season at our home has brought sadness to our hearts. My mother's mom passed away on Tuesday and on the same afternoon mama needed heart surgery. We're managing well since we are a close family and are surrounded by loving people. We still ask for your thoughts and prayers at this time and thank everyone for your concern and condolences. Mama made it though her surgery with flying colors and will be back on her feet soon.

By the light of the fire...

Dave really enjoys a good fire on a cool night. I shot a few pics of him playing his harmonica out there last night, then made a layout with them. Credits in my SMJ Gallery, you can see them by clicking on the layout in my blog. The Hoot Hoot kit by Shabby Miss Jenn is perfect for the Halloween pics you're going to shoot in the coming week!! Watch for more Halloween projects here soon!

Hangin' out with Elijah and Alex

I had the good fortune of having the boys over today and we had such a wonderful time. They napped this morning on the way to meet Pop and Daddy in Abbeville, where we all went to lunch at Shucks. The boys had tasted their first french fries and absolutely loved them, but not until they'd eaten their cereal and mixed veggies lunch. They were such good boys at the restaurant, never fussing or being too loud! They are such angel babies!! Here's a peek of them in their Carhart overalls Dad bought them long before they were born. They're just too cute in em! They went to the tractor store and to the feed store with Pop all dressed up for work! :)

New Beginnings

Alexa started college this fall and she also began a new job at a local preschool. The same preschool that Kali attended for a few years before going to 'big girl' school. She's doing very well with both and is enjoying watching her bank account grow! Here's a photo I shot of her during her graduate session in town. I love the gorgeous smile Lexi!! Everything in the layout is by Shabby Miss Jenn, check out her store HERE! The template is from the Nevache Signature Series of templates at Kissed Studio.

Model Shoot with Holly

Our photographic society had a shoot last night in my home town, Holly, who is a good friend of our oldest daughter Krista agreed to model for us and did a fabulous job. (I've been shooting photos of her since she was a little girl.) Here are two of my favorite shots that I got of her. She and I created the roman goddess dress from five yards of lovely white fabric, she is indeed lovely in it. :) Thanks Holly for modelling for us, everyone enjoyed you a whole lot and they would all be happy if you model for us again some time! Hope you enjoy the scarf! Big Hugs and Thanks! Click on the image for a larger version.

Not enough time...

... with our favorite boys! Their Mama and Daddy went to New Orleans for her work and we had the fun job of keeping them Thursday, Friday and most of Saturday. It was filled with happy smiles and laughter and the boys were soooooooo good, but it was over way too soon! I didn't whip out the camera much, just enjoyed them and shot these pics of them napping yesterday. Alex is on the left in the top photo and Eli on the right. Enjoy!

Super Star #6

Kali is really enjoying learning the game of soccer. She's going to her games and getting into it, she's not making contact with the ball a whole lot, but she's learning tons! In no time at all we're sure she'll be a super star player!

The Boys Love the Outdoors

While Daddy and Mama washed their SUV, Alex and Eli played in their little pack and play. While they were outside, Lolli took pictures of them, Pop and Granny visited and they had a good time playing with empty water bottles, no interest what so ever in the toys in the pack n play, just give us some bottles!

Fall at SMJ

Shabby Miss Jenn released absolutely adorable Autumn kits and element packs recently. Click on the layouts above to see them in my gallery at SMJDesigns and see a complete list of credits. She's also got adorable element kits at The-Lilypad

These layouts are remembering Kali's Sugarcane Festival week in our home town. She dressed up for farmer's day at her school and was totally adorable. Below is a photo of Kali and Riley in the parade last Saturday. Her school represented Peter Pan and she and Riley rode in a 'ship' that we made for them.

The Islands Call

Now that hurricane season is almost over in our part of the world, we're contemplating an island vacation. We love exploring new places and this Island magazine is filled with wonderful places to visit and lovely images that make us want to be there now.
