Krista completed the nursing program for registered nurses at LSUE and was awarded her diploma on Saturday morning in Eunice, Louisiana. Dave and I are so proud of you Kissy! You have done a great job with school, congratulations on your new position at IMC!

I created these party packages in the last few months and am just now getting around to posting them to the blog. Kali’s safari birthday party was a blast and the other two were created for my friend Keisha. She put together two beautiful parties and I’m hoping to get some photos from them soon to share with you!
Kali celebrated today with so many of our family and friends out at the pond. It was a magnificent day for a party and she had a super fantastic time! Thank you to everyone who came, we appreciate you!
Today is our Kali’s seventh birthday, the whole family went to her baseball game tonight and cheered her on. I took this photo of her on Friday when she played guitar at the Friday Mass at SES.

We do so appreciate teachers! To celebrate them and show them how much we care for them and appreciate everything they do we put together some little thank you gifts for Kali, Alex and Elijah’s teachers at St. Edward School and The Gingerbread House.
I used the adorable “Coffee and Cupcakes” kit by Kate Hadfield to make the “Thanks a ‘Latte’” gift tags for our Friday gift for all of the children’s teachers. You can find her scrapbooking supplies at The Lily Pad.
In our little to-go cappuccino gift package we tucked Starbuck’s instant coffee in Mocha, Caramel and Vanilla with 100 Calorie cookie packs and a little container of cream.
Here’s a close up of our label. We even added the children’s initials and a heart on her adorable coffee mug graphic.
Kali was a finalist in the elocution contest at her school and she performed her poetry at the judging with 12 other first graders and won third place. We’re so very proud of our girl, she did a fabulous job! Congratulations sweetie!

Every week, usually on Friday morning, my Daddy calls me and asks if we need fresh eggs. His chickens are laying like crazy and he's got more than he and Mama can eat, so he offers them to us and to our kids. Its a small thing he can do that means a lot to us. We love the farm freshness and I envision him up early in the mornings, every day of the week, checking his coop, picking the eggs, cleaning them and storing them for sharing with our family. I really do love him a whole lot and how he shares his very . . . Special Eggs.

Now that the time has changed and we've got longer evenings to go out and enjoy our little country pond, we've been fishing almost every evening. On this day... Kip, Cameron and Riley joined our family out there. While the children played on the bank I shot a few photos of our fisher-people.

I picked up a few bottles of SkinnyGirl Margaritas at Sam’s Club today and made one tonight, it certainly was yummy! I definitely won’t miss the extra calories!
