Kali's First Day of Big Kid School

Kali started preschool at St. Edwards this morning. She came over for a visit before school and I took a few adorable photos of our excited school girl. She has a wonderful teacher and this is going to be a fabulous experience for her. Pop came outside to see her off and had a hunch that she was growing 'dollars' in her ears again. Sure enough, he found a few in there for Kali! She was so excited!

Yesterday with the Grands

Having all three of the kiddos here with me yesterday was a treat. Kali starts school today and I'm really going to miss having her with us on Thursdays. I'll bring Alex and Eli to storytime a few times a month but we'll sure miss having Kali along with us. She is so entertaining to them and they love her so. I shot a few photos with the little Sony camera yesterday after naptime. Here are a few of them.

Swimmin' 4 Real

Here's our girl Kali swimming for real at the pool at the Caribe Resort during our vacation. She took swimming lessons from cousin Jeanne this summer and is such a fish! Discovery at the Beach

Here's a layout featuring Kali at the beach. She had fun playing and looking for shells while Lolli took some photos of her. I used Shabby Miss Jenn's Beach Shack and Little Kahunas kits for this layout.

Shoes, Sandals and a Stroller!

We spent the morning at home playing and visiting, then after a yummy Mexican lunch with Pop, Kali, Krista and I took Alex and Eli to Lafayette to shop for new shoes and sandals for the boys and a pair of navy tstrap school shoes for Kali.


We also made a run by Babies R Us to get a double umbrella stroller for the twins. The one we got is khaki and black and just too cute for boys! They're just getting too heavy to carry in their car seats when we bring them both into the mall, store or restaurant. I can see that this adorable stroller will be so handy and we'll use it a whole lot!

2 Minutes

Kali loved being at the beach, but after two weeks she decided she wasn't swimming when we were going down to the pool for the twins to play in the water. So I convinced her to wear a swimsuit under her clothes "for later" in case she decided to swim. I knew once we were down there she'd see the boys having a good time and want to jump in too, sure enough, it took all of two minutes for her to decide she wanted in on the fun. Sometimes Lolli has good ideas ;) She and the boys had a wonderful time playing and splashing around in the water.

Alex at the Beach

Here's a layout featuring Alex in the pool while on a beach vacation. He loved the waterfall that went over the wall and would splash his little hands in the water. He's wearing a little baby speedo that Aunt Erica bought for him. Too, too cute!

Elijah at the Beach

Here's our lil guy Eli at the beach on vacation. Isnt he just too cute in his little hat!? Watch the blog tomorrow for one featuring Alex!

Playing happily together!

Our boys Eli and Alex are spending the night tonight while Mama and Daddy go to a surprise birthday party for a friend. They spent a good while playing on the floor in the den, sharing toys nicely and looking at the camera for Lolli to take some photos. They had two baby shots each this morning and aren't at all fussy. What good boys we have! I'll post more photos later!

Kali @ Blue Bayou

Yesterday we took a little trip over to Baton Rouge and hung out at Blue Bayou for the day. My sister Debbie's daughter Jeanne, who is Erica's age came with us and everyone had a good day. Kali loved her time in the pirate ship in kiddie land and at the wave pool of the water park and the big kids had a great time on the slides. Here are a few highlights in photos of how Kali spent her time at the waterpark. She's just too cute in her zebra bikini!

She's a Soccer Player!

Kali had her first soccer practice this past Saturday, she had a great time and can't wait to play again. She's the littlest player on the team but she's one very determined little girl and I'm sure she will do just fine. She was just too cute all geared up, you could say that the jersey they issued is a little bit large for her though. Click on the images to see larger versions. Album for Kali

I've worked on this little brag book sized album (4x6) for the entire week, finally got it just right, it printed up beautifully and it all came together so cute! Seashells with Krista and Kali

I used a load of elements and paper from different Shabby Miss Jenn kits on this layout. Click on the image for a larger version and full credits in my SMJ gallery. The sand background paper is just a wonderful thing to use on beach layouts. I lightened the original paper and added a white grungy border to give it a washed out look. Gotta love how versatile Jenn's papers and elements are!

Kali and Mama at the Beach

This is one of my favorite photos of Kali and Krista at the beach, she loved the time she spent with mom looking for shells and having a photo shoot with Lolli. What beautiful girls we have!
