Kali: October 2011: 2nd Grade

Here’s a photo of Kali that I took this week, she’s in Mrs. Polk’s class this year and is a second grader. She loves reading and is a very good student. We’re proud of our girl Kali. Aunt Erica curled her hair before school on Friday, which was grandparents mass. Dave and I were able to attend together and that made Kali very happy.

Kali is going to the Accelerated Reading party at her school for meeting all of the reading and testing qualifications of the program. We're very proud of you Kali for always doing well with your reading and school work. You're a great reader! We hope you have a great time at the party!

All Cammo All The Time

When it comes to getting dressed… the twins love their cammo gear, it doesn’t matter if its shoes, crocs, boots, pajamas, shorts or pants, they will always be happy with it. This morning when I spotted their foot wear lined up next to the door I had to take a pic of it and share in a layout about their little obsession. I used Shabby Miss Jenn’s “Snuggle Up” kit to feature this photo and story in a layout.

What’s cuter and sweeter than a bucket of monkeys!

I gotta say that these two boys have totally stolen my heart and have me wrapped pretty tightly around their little fingers. They’re as sweet and loving as they look and are all boy! Just had to share this sweet photo of them with all of you!

Their parents are pretty adorable too! Claire and Davey, September 2011. He’s running for District 13 Parish Council and we couldn’t be prouder of his commitment to making his community the best place it can possibly be, he’s going to raise his children here, where he grew up and we’re backing him 100%. We would be grateful for the support of those living in our district. Make sure you vote on October 22nd.

His hat is in the ring and his heart is in his family life and wants the best for all of us in this community.

One little piggy…

We’ve had quite a few animals on our little farm over the years, this little piggy was one of the most unique looking ever! I created this little layout to remember her using Shabby Miss Jenn’s sweet little Pumpkin Farm kit.

Wedding Day (Kit by Shabby Miss Jenn Designs)

I made this lovely layout using Shabby Miss Jenn’s latest “Wedding Day kit” it was perfect for a bridal photo I shot of Krista last fall just weeks before her wedding to Zach.

Alex and Eli are enjoying GBH and Kali is in the 2nd grade at SES this year, they’re loving their teachers and are so good at school! Alexa and Erica have started college again, Lexi at ULL and Erica in her first year at LSU in Baton Rouge. We moved her just last Friday and miss her already!

Here she is in her lovely new apartment bedroom, she designed and I painted the canvas hanging above her bed, she loved it and that made me very happy :)

Vacation Bible School

Kali, Alex and Eli are spending their mornings at VBS at St. Marcellus this week and are enjoying all the activities with their friends and cousins. Here are a few photos of them taken this morning. Aunt Kiss is there helping out today since she’s not working at the hospital. After opening prayers they split up into groups and began their morning of activities.

   

Outstanding Camper @ Blue Ribbon Camp

This week was a fun one for Kali at Blue Ribbon Camp at Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau. Erica and I went there on Friday morning to watch her perform with her group and were so happy for her when she won an Outstanding Camper medal for her group. Congratulations to our girl Kali!

Pop and His Boys

Last week, before the twins left for a week long vacation to Tennessee, they came over for an evening of supper and a movie with me and Pop. They felt like Christmas in June, so we watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas with them while they ate popcorn and sipped lemonade.

We sure do miss these little boogers! Can’t wait til they come home soon!

Erica’s Senior Portraits!!

We shot these in a few sittings last month and Erica was very pleased with them. Congrats to our girl, who leaves on her SR trip on Saturday! I know she’s going to have a memorable time with her friends! We’ve secured her apartment and she’s ready to attend Louisiana State University in the fall where she will be majoring in Psychology/Psychiatry.

    

Another Graduate in the House

Krista completed the nursing program for registered nurses at LSUE and was awarded her diploma on Saturday morning in Eunice, Louisiana. Dave and I are so proud of you Kissy! You have done a great job with school, congratulations on your new position at IMC!

I designed this scrapbook page for Erica’s album with Shabby Miss Jenn’s new “Our Graduate” kit. She released it at the perfect time for me to scrap our latest and last high school graduate in the house!

Last night was Erica’s high school graduation ceremony. We are so proud of you for your accomplishments!

Three new party packages!!!

I created these party packages in the last few months and am just now getting around to posting them to the blog. Kali’s safari birthday party was a blast and the other two were created for my friend Keisha. She put together two beautiful parties and I’m hoping to get some photos from them soon to share with you!
